How does it work?

Water (and, if you wish, ice cubes) is distributed over a filter through which the fan blows air. As the water evaporates, it absorbs heat — the airflow coming out is noticeably cooler than the ambient air. No compressor, no exhaust hose, no installation. The “9000” in the name refers to the airflow rate of our blower in cubic feet per hour, not to an air conditioner’s BTU-style cooling capacity.

Limitations to know (transparency)

• This appliance is not an air conditioner — it cools the airflow it blows out; it does not lower the overall temperature of an enclosed room.
• It is less effective in very humid air (above ~70% humidity) — evaporation slows down. Maximum performance is achieved in dry air and dry heatwaves.
• For maximum effect: use very cold water or ice cubes in the tank, point the airflow directly at you, and leave a window slightly open to renew the air.

Frequently asked questions

Is it an air conditioner? No — it is an evaporative air cooler. The air it blows is noticeably cooler, but it does not cool an entire room like a compressor air conditioner. That is precisely why it does not cost €1,500, requires no installation, and uses a fraction of the electricity. Another difference: while an air conditioner dries the air (causing an irritated throat upon waking), evaporative cooling slightly humidifies it — making it more pleasant to breathe throughout the night.

What room size is this model suitable for? It effectively cools the airflow in a room of approximately 23 m² (family bedroom or office) under good conditions (dry air and a ventilated room).

How can I get the best results? Use very cold water or ice cubes in the tank, leave a window slightly open to renew the air, and point the airflow toward you. The effect is best in dry air.
