Portable evaporative air cooler — not an air conditioner. The Coldest Breeze™ Frost 9000 uses the chassis, reinforced 2026 motor, and latest-generation gel technology from our Smart Max — but with mechanical dial controls, at a more accessible price. The result: the same power and runtime as a Smart Max, in a simple, durable version that effectively cools the airflow in a space of 28 to 36 m².
Important — this is an evaporative air cooler, not an air conditioner. The device lowers the perceived temperature by 3 to 6 °C within a radius of 1 to 2 meters around the air outlet. It does not cool an entire room like a compressor-based air conditioner. Power consumption: 65 W (approx. 10× less than an air conditioner). The “9000” refers to the airflow rate (in cubic feet per hour) of our blower, not an air conditioner BTU rating.
How does it work?
Water and 4 gel ice packs (included, to be frozen) are placed in the tank. The fan blows through this cold mixture — evaporation absorbs heat, and the outgoing airflow is noticeably cooler than the ambient air. The gel extends and intensifies the cooling effect for several hours. No compressor, no exhaust hose, no installation.

Limitations to know (transparency)
- This device is not an air conditioner — it cools the blown airflow; it does not lower the overall temperature of an enclosed room.
- It is less effective in very humid air (above approximately 70% humidity) — evaporation slows down. Maximum performance is achieved in dry air and dry heatwaves.
- It does not replace air conditioning in large open spaces or professional settings.
- For maximum effect: use well-frozen gel packs in the tank, point the airflow directly toward you, and leave a window slightly open.

Does it really cool or is it just a fan?
No — this is not just a fan. The evaporative system draws water from the tank, absorbs the heat from the room air, and blows out air up to 8°C cooler than the room. Concretely: the felt temperature drops 3 to 6°C within a 1-2 meter radius, in 30 to 40 minutes. For a bedroom or office of 15-25 m², the Lite Night or Lite Prestige is more than enough. For a living room or large space up to 44 m²: the Pro 9000 Élite or Frost 9000 Smart Max — our most powerful models.
Do I need a window or exhaust hose?
No — no hose, no hole in the wall, no landlord approval needed. Plug in, fill the 6 L L tank, switch on. That's why renters, Airbnb hosts and van-lifers pick our cooler right away. Zero installation, zero hidden costs, mobile from room to room.
Is it quiet enough at night?
This model runs between 52 and 62 dB. At the lowest speed (52 dB), it's whisper-level — quieter than a ceiling fan. The Lite Night is our model specifically optimized for sleep: customers report barely hearing it at 40 cm from the bed. If silence is your absolute priority, the Lite Night is the obvious pick.
How much does it cost to run?
65 W when running — around 10 to 18 €/month for 8 h/day of use, depending on your rate. That's 5 to 10 times less than a split AC (60-120 €/month). A Coldest Breeze uses less than an old fridge. That's why we call it 'the frugal AC'.
